Every phase of water, shell, and equipment

Design-build landscapes are only the start—Hermitage Landscaping maintains specialty crews for surfacing, hydraulics, outdoor living, and long-term service. This page is the long-form catalog: what we mean by each line item, what questions to ask any builder, and what typically lands in a written scope for that trade.

If you’re comparing bids, match model numbers or performance specs, interior finish class, and allowance dollars—not adjectives like “premium” or “top of the line.” We’re happy to red-line a competitor’s quote and show you what’s missing; worst case you learn something before you sign.

How to read this page

Scopes, not slogans

Each card below ends with a short “Typically includes” list. It isn’t exhaustive—your lot might need export, dewatering, crane mats, or engineer-stamped walls—but it’s the conversation starter we use internally before we quote you. Bundled projects still break out line items so draws stay fair.

Owner responsibilities (usually)

  • Survey or plat when jurisdiction requires
  • HOA application fees and design review meetings
  • Utility locates called in before dig (we coordinate timing)
  • Final landscape, furniture, and gas account setup
